What this part does

The intercooler hose routes pressurized, heated air from the turbochargers to the intercooler, and subsequently feeds the cooled, dense air into the engine's intake manifold. Positioned in the engine bay between the turbos and the charge air cooler, it is built to withstand extreme temperatures and high boost pressures generated by forced induction systems. When this hose cracks, collapses, or detaches, the system loses boost pressure. This results in a severe drop in engine power, an immediate check engine light, poor acceleration, and typically a loud hissing or rushing air noise when the throttle is applied.
