Payment and shipping

OEMRecycler is a marketplace — you are buying from independent salvage yards and parts sellers. Several payment options are available, but we strongly recommend paying through the site: that is the only way buyer protection applies to your order.

Payment in full at checkout
The money does not reach the seller straight away. OEMRecycler holds the funds for 30 days after the part is delivered. If the part does not fit or does not match the listing, you are covered by our refund policy.

Why it matters
Paying through OEMRecycler is what makes us a party to the transaction. It is the only route where we hold the money, review disputes and can issue a refund.

Cash on delivery
Available only where the seller delivers the part themselves, and only if that seller offers it. Each yard sets its own rules for payment on arrival.

Bank transfer to the seller
A direct transfer to the yard's own bank details, arranged between you and the seller.

Possible when you collect the part from the seller's yard in person.

⚠️ Important: what we cover and what we do not

OEMRecycler connects you with independent sellers. Our responsibility follows the money:

Paid through the site: buyer protection is active. We hold the funds, review any dispute and refund you under our policy within the 30-day window.
Paid directly to the seller: our protection extends only to the amount that actually went through OEMRecycler. Anything settled outside the platform — a bank transfer, cash, or cash on delivery collected by the seller — is a matter between you and that seller, and our policies apply only to the part of the transaction we processed.
Parts sold by OEMRecycler: where the seller shown on the listing is the platform itself, we carry full responsibility for the part and handle any exchange or return directly.

Any major carrier
Sellers ship with UPS, FedEx, USPS, Canada Post, Purolator and regional freight lines — whichever is best for the part and the destination.

Shipping is included in the price you see
The cost is calculated at checkout and the label is covered. No separate shipping invoice after the order is placed.

Oversized parts
Engines, transmissions, doors, hoods and front clips move by freight. That is priced at checkout the same way.

Cross-border orders
Shipping between the US and Canada is not handled by the platform. If you need a part moved across the border, arrange it directly with the seller.

Every seller on the platform has their own location. The exact address is confirmed with the seller once the order is placed.

Many yards accept cash or card on collection. Note that a part paid for on site is outside our buyer protection.

Always confirm and reserve the part before making the trip — inventory moves fast.

Most sellers ship the same business day when the order is placed before noon.

Packaging
Fragile items and body panels are crated or palletized so they arrive in the condition they left in.

Inspect before you sign
On freight deliveries especially: check the part on arrival and note any damage on the delivery receipt before signing. A clean signature makes a damage claim much harder.

Returns
30 days to return or exchange, subject to a 20% restocking fee. Return shipping is set by each seller's own policy — see Returns & Exchanges.
