What this part does
The front door speakers are responsible for producing mid-range and mid-bass audio frequencies within the cabin. Mounted securely behind the trim panels in the front doors, they form the foundation of the factory sound system's frontal soundstage. When a speaker begins to fail, it typically produces audible crackling, distortion at higher volumes, or cuts out entirely due to a degraded voice coil or a damaged paper cone.

Before you order
Verify the specific audio system option code on your vehicle before purchasing. BMW utilizes different amplifier outputs and speaker impedances depending on whether the car is equipped with the standard HiFi, Harman Kardon, or Bowers & Wilkins premium sound systems. Installing a speaker from a mismatched audio package will result in poor audio balance or potential damage to the amplifier. Door panel clips frequently break during speaker replacement, so having a set of replacement clips on hand is recommended to prevent interior rattles.
