About this part
Also known as
A/C Condenser
Air Conditioning Condenser

Refrigerant Condenser
What this part does
The A/C condenser acts as a primary heat exchanger for the air conditioning system, taking high-pressure refrigerant gas from the compressor and cooling it into a liquid state. Positioned at the very front of the vehicle just ahead of the engine radiator, it relies on ram air from the grille and airflow from the mechanical or electric cooling fan to dissipate cabin heat to the outside atmosphere. When this component fails, typically from rock strikes, corrosion, or internal blockages, the system loses its refrigerant charge or cooling efficiency, resulting in warm air blowing from the interior vents.

Before you order
Verify your original part number against 9364255 or 64539364255 before purchasing, as BMW utilizes different cooling modules depending on specific trim levels, hot climate versions, and auxiliary cooling packages. When installing a replacement A/C condenser, it is highly recommended to replace the receiver drier and O-rings at the same time to ensure system longevity and prevent leaks. The system must be professionally evacuated and recharged with the correct weight of refrigerant and PAG oil after installation.
