What this part does

The ABS Control Module monitors data from the wheel speed sensors and regulates hydraulic brake fluid pressure to prevent the wheels from locking up during hard braking. On this generation of vehicles, the electronic unit mounts directly to the hydraulic ABS pump assembly located inside the engine compartment. When the module fails, it typically triggers the ABS, brake, and traction control warning lights simultaneously on the dashboard, completely disabling the anti-lock braking and stability control functions while standard mechanical braking remains intact.

Before you order

• Verify whether your original unit is an ASC (Automatic Stability Control) or DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) module. The two systems use different pumps and controllers, and they cannot be swapped.
• Match the Bosch part number printed on the black plastic housing of your original module before purchasing. Variations exist depending on production month and vehicle options.
• Installing a replacement ABS Control Module on this chassis typically requires coding to the vehicle's VIN and recalibrating the steering angle sensor using factory-level diagnostic software before the warning lights will clear.
