What this part does

The heated seat control module regulates the electrical current sent to the heating elements embedded in the seat cushion and backrest. Mounted underneath the seat frame, it monitors temperature sensors to maintain the driver or passenger's selected heat setting while preventing element overheating. When this unit fails, the seat heating may become completely inoperative, shut off after a few seconds, or run continuously. A faulty module can also trigger communication errors with the central body domain controller.
