What this part does

The right-front rocker panel bracket secures the exterior plastic side skirt molding to the steel chassis structure. Positioned directly behind the passenger-side front wheel, it anchors the leading edge of the lower trim and ensures it sits flush against the door sill. It maintains the factory panel gap tolerances between the fender, the lower edge of the front door, and the aerodynamic side sill.

Because of its location at the lowest point of the body tub, this mount frequently absorbs impacts from road debris, ice build-up, or improper placement of a hydraulic lift. When the bracket is bent or snapped, the exterior plastic trim will sag, rattle against the bodywork, or catch the wind at highway speeds, which often breaks the remaining mounting clips down the side of the vehicle.

Before you order

Verify your exact OEM number, as Porsche uses different bracket dimensions depending on whether the vehicle is equipped with standard rocker panels or the upgraded SportDesign exterior package. Check the mounting points on the vehicle chassis to ensure the threaded studs or mounting holes were not torn out when the original bracket failed.

Inspect the plastic tabs on the inside of your painted side skirt before ordering. If the male clips on the plastic trim itself are sheared off, replacing this receiving bracket will not solve the mounting issue.
