What this part does

The Dashboard serves as the primary structural and cosmetic fascia for the front interior of the cabin. It spans the width of the vehicle and provides the mounting framework for the instrument cluster, infotainment screen, climate control vents, and internal ducting. Crucially, the passenger side of the assembly houses the deployment zone for the front passenger airbag.

Because the passenger airbag deploys directly through the top material, a deployed airbag typically ruins the structural integrity and appearance of the panel, necessitating a complete replacement. Dashboards can also suffer from heavy UV exposure over time, leading to deep cracks, warping around the defroster vents, or delamination of the top surface material.

Before you order

• Verify the interior color code and material finish of the vehicle it came from against your existing panel. Porsche offered multiple interior trim levels for this generation, including standard textured finishes and full leather-wrapped options with visible stitching. A mismatch will be highly visible.
• This assembly is the bare panel. It does not include the passenger airbag, instrument cluster, climate vents, glovebox, or decorative trim inserts unless explicitly shown in the photographs. You will need to transfer your existing components over.
• Installation is labor-intensive, requiring the removal of the steering wheel, center console, A-pillar trims, and various hidden fasteners behind the infotainment unit. Professional installation is heavily recommended.
• If you are replacing this panel due to a deployed airbag, verify that the underlying metal cowl support bar and mounting brackets were not bent during the collision before attempting to mount the replacement.
