The audio amplifier receives low-voltage audio signals from the head unit and boosts them to effectively power the vehicle's speakers and subwoofers. In modern MINI vehicles, this component is typically located in the left or right side of the rear cargo area, tucked safely behind the trunk trim panel. It also handles all digital signal processing (DSP) to balance the acoustic output for premium sound packages.
