What this part does

The fog light is a forward-facing illumination device mounted low in the front bumper assembly. It is engineered to cut through poor visibility conditions, such as dense fog, heavy rain, or snow, by projecting a wide, flat beam pattern close to the road surface to minimize glare reflecting back into the driver's eyes. When a fog lamp fails, or its lens becomes heavily pitted or cracked from road debris, nighttime visibility in adverse weather is significantly compromised. Furthermore, a cracked housing will allow moisture intrusion, which quickly shorts out the bulb and corrodes the internal wiring contacts.

• Verify whether you need the driver (left) or passenger (right) side assembly, as fog lights are strictly side-specific and the housings cannot be swapped.
• Inspect the mounting brackets inside your front bumper cover; if the plastic tabs on the bumper were torn during a collision, the replacement lamp will not seat securely or aim properly.
• Match the OEM number 89210094 exactly, as the 958-generation Cayenne was offered with different lighting packages that use completely different fog light shapes and wiring connectors.
