What this part does

The inner sill trim is located at the base of the door opening inside the cabin. It protects the painted metal framework from scuffs and scratches when occupants enter and exit the vehicle. The trim also secures the edge of the interior carpet and provides a finished transition to the door seal. These components typically require replacement when the plastic cracks from age or heavy impacts, the rubber edging deteriorates, or the underside mounting tabs snap off.
